NE Show queries

Hi 5D,

I received a few queries from a few of our classmates if we can bring our handphones to take pictures during the parade and to contact your parents during an emergency. I would allow handphones to be brought during the parade but would also remind students that the responsibility of taking care of the phones is on the students themselves and that you should be careful in ensuring you don't misplace your phone on that day.

Next, there are questions as to whether you can wear other red shirts instead of the camp t-shirt. The response to this is that you are adviced to wear the camp tshirt as far as possible to allow for easier identification of EDP students in a crowd of children in red shirts. If it is not possible to wear the camp t-shirt, a red shirt in the same tone as the camp t-shirt would help in keeping students together as well.

I am looking forward to attending the NE show with 5D and hope we have a blast there.

Rainbow Day 3

Dear 5D,

This Rainbow Day is definitely one that we will remember for life.

Hope that through today's incident, all of us have learnt the importance of looking out for one another and reminding everyone to do the right thing. We should always aim to be the best that we can be - not just at the hall but also in all that we do. This includes lesson time.

As we reflect on our actions, let us learn from this incident and show others that we are serious about changing for the better.

Here are some photos that were taken this morning.

Similes

Hi 5D,

This is the lyric video of the song "everything at once" that I showed in class recently.

Do you still remember what similes are? Some clues to indicate that it is a simile is that it is in the form "as..... as......" (like the lyrics in this song) or " ..... like ......"

Have fun listening to the song again.

Professors @ Work: Decimals Word Problems

Hello, Maths professors!

It's heartening to learn that you've enjoyed the group activity on solving word problems. I'm sure everyone has learnt a lot from the group discussion as well as the class presentation.

Hope that you will remember to draw diagrams and ask yourself "What can we do/find first?" whenever we solve word problems. Lastly, break the problems into parts so that it will be easier for you to understand the sentences.

Here are the photos that we've taken. Enjoy! :)
